Dr. Ruba Kado, M.D.

After two years of practicing internal medicine, she became interested in the field of rheumatology and entered fellowship at the University of Michigan. She graduated fellowship in 2014 and joined the faculty at the University of Michigan Division of Rheumatology, where she took pride in caring for patients with complex autoimmune diseases. She was involved in clinical research as part of the robust Lupus Program, which led to a deeper understanding of rheumatologic and immunologic conditions. Dr. Kado has authored multiple journal articles and textbook chapters.

Her unique qualifications led to the co-development of Tria Health, a combined rheumatology/allergy/immunology practice.

Dr. Kado is dedicated to her patients with rheumatic disease. She diagnoses and treats autoimmune and autoinflammatory conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, myositis, vasculitis, and spondyloarthropathies.
